The Bath Theory Matcha and Coffee Body Scrub Review

It's less than a month to Deepavali? How else can we get started for the festive season ahead? Body care is just as important as caring for the face and a great body scrubs can get our skin looking party ready, in no time.

Scrubs are helpful to lift off dead skin cells above the skin surface, especially so as a lot can build up on neglected areas like the back of our hands like elbows, knees and behind the knees and the back of our necks. Regular body cleansers are just not enough for a look of polished skin for the festive season.

Body scrubs come in handy to bring about blood circulation to our skin and helps us shed the uppermost layer of dead skin cells as mentioned above. When you slather body moisturizers on freshly scrubbed skin, you will notice a huge difference of how it applies and stays put on the skin.

Salt body scrubs can offer a vigorous and rejuvenating after feel, it helps with bringing toxins to the surface and has healing properties too! Infused with great smelling essential oils, it can make an otherwise ordinary mundane shower a sensuous therapy session.

Today, I will be walking you through my review on Bath Theory's Coffee and Matcha Body Scrubs. If you would like to learn more about The Bath Theory, click here!

The Bath Theory Body Scrubs are;

  • 100% handmade
  • Animal cruelty free
  • No artificial preservatives

The scrub come in brown paper sachets with resealable tabs and contains eighty grams worth of product. The packaging has indications that it's best to use the scrubs within two weeks of opening or to store it carefully away to extend it's shelf life of up to two months.

If you're using the scrub for the whole body, eighty grams could last you up to two to three uses. It is also says at the back that you may use it on your face as well now I would not recommend this to people with acne prone, sensitive and mature skin, perhaps a patch test would come in handy.

Each of the body scrub is tagged at an affordable price at SGD 11.95!

The main ingredients in the two scrubs contains the following;

  • Coconut oil
  • Pink Himalayan Salt
  • Dead Sea Salt
  • Robusta/Arabica Grounded coffee
  • Tea tree essential oil
  • Lavender essential oil

Matcha Scrub

The scent on this scrub is undoubtedly Matcha indeed! I tried the scrub and I feel that it's a must to wet the skin first as the matcha scrub has more densely packed large salt granules that may super aggressive on the skin.

On wet skin, it goes on much smoother and works nicely on the skin to remove dead skin cells.

Coffee Scrub

I tried the coffee scrub on dry skin once again and this in particular is more smoother in terms of texture and it immediately left a hydrated finish behind. Since I tried it on dry skin, I was able to flake it off easily too and was pleasantly surprised at the sheen from the scrub. It felt more like a body polish than a regular scrub.

My Final Thoughts!

Out of the two scrubs, my favorite has got to be the Coffee Scrub, not a surprise as I am an avid coffee lover more than a drinker. Only coffee lovers like myself would understand this fact, in fact it's a statement!

Their Match Scrub could come handy for extra polishing as I feel the scrub has more granulated texture and is more denser with salt granules that helps packs a punch in the scrub while the Coffee Scrub could come in handy for last minute situations. Like what you ask? If you feel your hands need a quick fix before a at home manicure, you can achieve soft hands in no less than five minutes.

Both the scrubs left behind a nice soft feel on the skin, prepped nicely for moisturizer to go on and stay put! Scrubs can come in handy at least once a week, in the shower and maybe twice for colder climates.

A huge shout out to The Bath Theory for sending me their Matcha and Coffee Body Scrubs, remember to check them out!

I hope you enjoyed reading today's post, I shall catch you very soon in my next entry soon!
